Ark Server Rules

Edited: Oct 5

We follow the official Studio Wildcard Code of Conduct for Ark: Survival Evolved. Any breach of their rules or ours will result in a ban.

(1) General Rules

1.1 English only in global.

1.2 Ensure you do not inflict any form of misconduct. Do not try and force dictatorship, blackmail others, create toxicity and ruin the game for other players in the community. This includes but is not limited to language which is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, sexually explicit, or racially, ethnically or otherwise offensive. This is PvP, trash talking is okay but if it gets out of hand the situation will be reviewed and dealt with accordingly.

1.3 You may not reveal other tribes base locations over Global Chat or Discord, you may however share this information privately.

1.4 You must have a legitimate character name. You may not call your character "Human", "Survivor", "Player", "123", "321", "OneTwoThree", "□□□" or anything similar.

1.5 The use of "hard" .ini files is forbidden. This is modifying game config files to gain any advantage such as but not limited to removing key graphical components (water, fog, foliage, X/Z Effects, etc)

1.6 No impersonation of MTS Staff members.

(2) Server Rules

2.1 Do not prison or cage offline players.

2.2 You are expected to have the same tribe members and tribe name across the cluster, rotating members and account sharing to increase online hours is strictly forbidden. This is to maintain the intent and spirit of the 4-Man servers and not have gear funneled by over more than 4 individuals.

2.3 Insiding is completely forbidden, this means leaving a tribe and taking valuables without tribe leader consent even if you believe you personally own them. Whoever the tribe leader is has full ownership and can do with the tribe and its roster as they please. It is your responsibility to ensure you are in a trustful tribe, and if you wish to leave a tribe and take items with you then you must disclose it with your tribe leader first.

2.4 No mesh hitting or biting through walls or surfaces with the intent of destroying things on the other side illegitimately.

2.5 Maximum cage timer is 24 hours. (Rule does not apply if you are raiding, you can keep a player caged during the entire duration of the raid if it exceeds 1 day.)

(3) Building Rules

3.1 All structures you place must be visible and able to be damaged via a legitimate method.

3.2 Turrets can be built out in the world when raiding, PvPing, PvEing or when teleporting to boss arenas via terminals. But must be taken down immediately after leaving the area and not left around in the world.

3.3 Do not block access to, build on or near the following points of interest unless actively PvP'ing;

- Obelisks & City Terminals

- Map Spawn Points

- Wyvern Scars

- Portal South West Surface Entrance only (Aberration)

- Aberration Biome entrances on Valguero

- Artifact Spawns

3.4 The abuse of no collision building and placing structures or items on top of yours or anothers player model making them completely concealed or invenerable is forbidden. This rule does not apply to dinos.

3.5 The use of unintended building mechanics raid method ultilising foundations, pillars, ramps, walls, & ceilings to build tunnels and enclosed pathways into enemy bases bypassing enemy defences with the intent of destroying them from close proximity. Clarification: This Rule DOES NOT apply to platform saddle creatures or to rafts & motorboats.

(4) PVP Rules

4.1 Do not "popcorn", this means mass dropping items from your inventory into individual bags. This includes throwing out all of your cryo-dinos at once, unwanted loot from raids or dropping loot when you are facing imminent death or base wipe. Overburdening yourself is not an excuse to popcorn. The "Drop All" function is allowed.

4.2 Tribes are not permitted to "team" when it comes to PvP. This includes but is not limited to things suich as; Joint raids against one or more tribes (8 v 4 etc), defending a tribe from another tribes attacks to provide mutual defences, coordinated attacks and more.. PvE Teaming however is allowed. Please see rule 4.4 for PvE Teaming engagements.

4.3 You are allowed to third party PvP engagements and raids as long as you are actively engaging against all involved tribes evenly and your tribe log proves this.

4.4 If you are PvE teaming with another tribe and a 3rd party tribe engages you in PvP, you are allowed to defend yourselves.

4.5 You are not allowed to use over-cap items, you must wait until they are capped via server restart or transferring to be eligible for use.

Any structures left in forbidden areas in the world will be removed by an admin without warning.

Commenting is off for this post.
