Introducing MTS Classic PvP!
Survivors, we are happy to announce a brand new cluster coming to MTS this February which offers a completely new and fresh take on ARK PvP. A provisional release date has been set to

What is MTS Classic?
MTS Classic PvP is our version of the original Classic Clusters made by Studio Wildcard. The "old school" cluster of our community. A unique throwback hybrid mix of the traditional days of ARK and the early beginnings of MTS. Combining the origin of ARK, non-DLC maps & original dinos with a lower tribe size, quality of life, and PvP balance via modding MTS brings to all its clusters. For players who love the "classic" ARK - Experience MTS' custom-designed cluster for maximum nostalgia.
So what's different?
Maps = Ragnarok, Scorched, Center, Island, Valguero
Tribe Size = 5
XP = 2x
Harvesting & Taming = 6x
Breeding = 10x
Avg. Wipe = 6 weeks (subject to change)
Heavy Land PvP Focus
With very limited options for Flyer Dinos, the emphasis has been placed on ground PvP of Humans & dinos with some buffs to some of ARKs original much-loved creatures. Gone are the well known damage-dealing flyers such as the Griffins & Wyverns, with flyers being restricted to utility only of Pteranodons, Argents & Quetzals.
No taming allowed for TEK Dinos, Griffins, Wyverns, Gigas, and Mantis.
MTS Classic PvP Mod
A brand new mod has been designed for the classic cluster. View the mod changes below;
Increase Rex Melee Damage by around 25%
Increase Spino Melee Damage by around 20%
Increase Bronto HP stat per level by around 20%
Increase Paracer HP stat per level by around 15%
Allow Stegos Riders to be able to be dismounted while using any mode
Stego “impale” ability only works on grounded Humans, not riders or dinos
Rock Elementals cannot be cryopodded
First 20 seconds of a cryopodded dino being thrown out it has a debuff so it takes 50% more damage, deal 50% less damage and has a 50% movement speed penalty (All creatures)
Nerf flamethrower from 9% to 7% hp (min 10, max 100) per second for 6 seconds
Bola entangle time vs Humans decreased from 25s to 15s
Increased Bola weight from 0.5 to 1.0

No Cave Building + Turret Limit Increase
Tribes will not be permitted to build in the majority of ARKs caves on our Classic Cluster. This is to keep the population of players on open land where an even playing field can be maintained, bringing back the nostalgic prospect of Land Bases - leaving the "Cave Meta" behind. Turret Limit has been increased from 100 to 150 for more coverage of your land bases!
No TEK or Element
No TEK will be available to unlock on our Classic Cluster. As a replacement for ARK Bosses giving Element & TEK Engrams - we will have the bosses in our Classic Cluster drop "high end" loot & blueprints with a fully designed & customized random drop table. The harder the boss fight, the higher quantity, quality, and chance of blueprints you shall receive. Boss fights are also the only way to obtain Empty Cryopods - more on that below. Bosses are definitely worth completing on MTS Classic.
No DLC Content
No Extinction, Genesis, or Aberration DLC content apart from Hazard Hat, Plant Z (Abe), Cryofridge & Cryopods (Ext).
As the cluster has no TEK Turrets or Velonasaurs etc. Rock Elementals found on Ragnarok & Scorched Earth will have an overall 50% lower chance to spawn and will also be unable to be cryopodded at all. Rock Elementals can still be uploaded and downloaded from ARK Data however and each tribe has a maximum Limit of 2 Rock Ele's at once using our /DinoLimit plugin.
For the quality of life they provide, Cryopods will be included in MTS Classic. However, they will not be as easily obtained as you know. Cryopods cannot be crafted by players at all, the only way to obtain Empty Cryopods is to defeat bosses. All boss fights drop Cryopods 100% of the time, whether it's Gamma Island Broodmother or Alpha Valguero Oasis. The higher difficulty the boss & boss fight the higher yield of cryopods you shall receive - The idea of this change is to make cryopods have extreme value and purpose of use, all while keeping some of the original gameplay intact.
Severely reduced Structure Limit for Platform Saddles & Boats
Following the inclusion of Quetzals, we have made the number of structures placeable on Platform saddles at a very minimum. Players will be able to create a simple 1x1 for the Rider while using Platform saddles, to ensure no hatchframe builds can be exploited on our Classic Cluster - sadly this change also affects Rafts & Motorboats which is a small sacrifice to pay as this is a Land PvP focus cluster.
Offline Raid Protection
ORP is back for Classic! Tribes will receive 3x Structure Resistance and 3x Turret Damage when their roster is offline. ORP activation is required by placing an ORP structure in your choice of location. Remember - this structure can be destroyed by other players to remove your ORP buffs so make sure you have it well protected.
For the use it provides countering some of ARKs most menacing creatures. Plant Z Seeds will be available to purchase using the in-game shop.
Donations & In-game Shop
The in-game shop will be practically a copy-paste of our already existing in-game shop for our Main & Beginners clusters with some slight tweaks such as Cryopods etc. MTS Memberships and whitelists will also work on the Classic Cluster as players know. Instructions for pre-orders will be provided the week of launch.
