First off, Muntage is entitled to his opinions and to create whatever content he wishes and I consider him a friend, the video was interesting and an eye opener for me personally however - I feel the need to address this and any rumours being thrown around and defend my team.
MTS Admins and staff are all volunteers, they get nothing for doing this and deal with hurls of abuse daily. They do this purely for their love of the game and the community as they wish to see MTS succeed and share the same passion as me and truly without them there would be no MTS. The picture created of Drax in Muntage video was not great admittedly, but also was not the full story. Drax has been a friend of mine for over 2 years and part of this community since its 200 member discord days. This is not me being naïve or having wool pulled over my eyes. I did not run or build this community to the size we are today based on "assumptions" and "maybes" but purely on facts.
The story was, Crownd had already planned with 4Blocks and began the insiding before Drax became aware and Drax had zero physical part to play in the insiding of Muntage s tribe. The reason Drax joined Muntage tribe around the same time is to check their roster as we discovered that their tribe on The Center was different to their original tribe on Scorched Earth where they are based, this was addressed in the video where Muntage described how him Exuro and Crownd (not to his knowledge) had all gone their separate ways meaning the tribe switch was legit. As on MTS servers you are expected to have the same tribe on all maps to prevent rotation of members and funnelling gear from multiple tribes. Now, Drax was wrong to do this as we have a policy with our playing admins that if your tribe is involved in a situation then you are NOT allowed to perform admin duties or have a say in any open case involving your party, and a neutral admin or me must handle the situation. Drax knows this is wrong and we will be investigating him for this mistake.
Crownd has been banned as he was the one resposible for the actual inside, this is our policy on this rule break and we have to be consistent.
I took the executive decision to rollback the server for Muntage and his tribe even though our FAQ states we do not do this. And the reason why is they had spent over 3 months on that base and truly were one of the alphas on the cluster and I witnessed it personally being destroyed in little under 30 minutes. I would do this for any tribe on that scale and with that much destruction, regardless of "YouTuber" status. Im not going to lie, him being a content creator does mean they will get seen to in some cases quicker than others and it just happened that I was in call at the right time and place when it all unfolded. Its only logical and the reality of the situation we are in.
There are actions from Drax and things in this video that do not sit well with me we are dealing with internally and he is aware. But I will have Drax s back and defend him where I feel necessary but I know he made massive mistakes in this process by not putting a stop to it or reporting it sooner, however he did not "inside" Muntage what so ever. Even though Drax is a member of 4Blocks on MTS. Drax has also nothing to do with 4Blocks small tribes tribe and is fully commited to MTS.
Drax actually resigned as admin shortly after this event due to reasons that I won't go into detail for however me and him disagreed on a certain scenario, where he felt I was being unreasonable. I wish him well and he is more than welcome on MTS and a potentially path back to a staff role in the future and we are still friends.
We as active staff are constantly working together to provide the best place to play Ark and I still believe that and stand by and defend my admins. We know its not perfect and people dislike playing admins - I do all I can to make it reasonable and moderate it strictly, but its the reality of the situation we are not a multi-million pound company.
Moving forward, we are putting in place more structure and strict do's and dont's tailored for the "playing" admin role to avoid situations like this in the future and create a better playing atmosphere for staff and players.
I will attach Drax's official statement below; we hope you consider both sides before making your own conclusion.
